Workshop #1--Ken's Wild West Travel Trunk--by Nancy Kelley

1:00 - 2:30 Saturday

Ken will need a trunk to carry his Wild West wardrobe across the frontier and here is just the workshop you must attend to make it.  This handsome trunk will be domed and covered in leather or wood veneer (or both!).  You will construct and decorate the trunk to your preference.  Only one workshop and this workshop is limited to 15.  No materials required.

Workshop #2--Ken's Steampunk Hat and Gloves--by Debra Freeman

12:30 - 2:00 Thursday

     9:00 - 10:30 Friday

 The West is certainly wild these days with Ken and his buddies dressing up in their steampunk gear.  In this workshop you will decorate Ken's fine steampunk hat to your own preferences.  All decorations and notions will be provided as well as a hat to decorate.  Just bring your creativity and your Ken doll!  As a bonus in this workshop, you will also have the opportunity to make Ken a pair of fingerless gloves to coordinate with his hat.  Two workshops will be offered and are limited to 15 participants.  No materials required, but please bring your favorite Ken doll to dress.

Workshop #3--Wild West Saloon Backdrop--by Melissa Uhlhorn

   4:30 - 6:00  Thursday

     3:30 - 5:00 Friday

Wild West Saloon Backdrop -  What Wild West scene wouldn't be complete without a saloon backdrop to pose with his buddies in their new western wardrobe??  Melissa is back again this year with a Wild West backdrop for Ken.  Many of you remember her fabulous Carson Roberts display from last year.  Sign up early this year as I'm sure that her workshops will fill up fast.  No materials required.

Workshop #4--Gambler's Case--by Melissa Uhlhorn and Debra Freeman

11:00 - 12:30 Saturday

Does your Ken like to gamble?  Most professional gamblers in the West had their own case equipped with dice, cards, money and of course a pistol.  You will make the case in this class and we will provide the accessories  to fill the case.  Only one workshop limited to 20 participants so be sure to sign up early.  You might even get a disguise for your Ken or Allan just in case he is cheating! No materials required.

Workshop #5--The Gentleman's Companion--by Beth Clarke

11:00 - 12:30 Friday

9:00 - 10:30 Saturday 

Every gentleman in the Wild West had an associate, compadre or sidekick .  Your job, (should you choose to take it), is to costume in Steampunk style, a furry friend for yourself and Ken.  You will be dressing and decorating a keepsake bear for you, and a mini bear for Ken.

No materials required.

Workshop #6--Ride 'em Cowboy--by Vanessa Ghant

2:30 - 4:00 Thursday

1:30 - 3:00 Friday

 Ride 'em Cowboy - Whether on horseback or riding the train, Ken never leaves home without his Western hat and pouch.  Ken's pouch is required gear for carrying valuables like money, dice, treats, and extra shirt and gifts for his favorite gal.  Vanessa Ghant will be teaching you how to make a traditional cowboy hat and pouch.  Previously, Vanessa taught the very popular tattoo workshop. No materials required, but please bring your favorite Ken to dress.
